Château Puybarbe 2017 $26.95 76% Merlot, 21% Cabernet Sauvignon, 2% Malbec. Warm and structured with evident oak, but also fully-flavoured fruit. This one was grown without chemical fertilizers or herbicides in vineyards that are HVE (High Environmental Value) and ISO 14001 certified. GRENACHE BLEND Domaine Brunely Vacqueyras 2018 $24.95 The 2018 Domaine Brunely Vacqueyras begins with expressive aromas of black raspberries, dark cherries, lavender, wild herbs, pepper and crushed stones. On the palate this boasts a medium body with silky tannins and a lovely round texture leading into the sleek finish. SAUVIGNON BLANC Sugar Loaf Sauvignon Blanc 2019 $19.95 This is bright, fresh and fabulously fragrant on the nose showing green rockmelon, grapefruit, apple and lime zest aromas, followed by a juicy palate that's intensely flavoured and lingering. BLEND Domaine des Tourelles Red 2016 $18.25 40% Cabernet Sauvignon, 40% Syrah, 15% Cinsault, 5% Carignan, planted at 1,050 m on sandy limestone over clay. Dry farmed. Fermented in concrete vats with indigenous yeasts. Blended and aged in concrete. Deep crimson. Dark, ripe fruit plus a subtle stony/dusty mineral quality that I often associate with concrete tanks.
