Broccardo Bricco San Pietro Barolo Riserva 2016

This is an exciting new wine from Broccardo. With 33 months of oak aging, the 2016 Barolo Riserva Bricco San Pietro is true and elegant, reflecting the pretty intensity of the vintage and the enduring complexity of the Nebbiolo grape. This vineyard site is located in Monforte d’Alba, a subzone that is celebrated for its silky, finely tuned Barolos. The bouquet offers dark fruit, wild berry, licorice, orange peel and dried rose petal. Drink date: 2023-2040. Score – 94. (Monica Larner, robertparker.com, June 23, 2022)
